Striving Towards Excellence

Every January, I find myself thinking of so many special people in my life. This month brings birthdays for my dear brother Aravind, my cousins Gayathri (January 8th) and Shobhana, my uncle AVS Athimber (January 9th), my beloved Papa Athai, Rajam Athai and Sambamurti Athimber, my friends Sreeraman, Saranga, Marishankar, and Lavanya, my students Tara, Susannah and my nephews Surya and Dhanush. January is special for another reason too – it’s when I celebrate the wedding anniversaries of my dear friends Vijay and Bhavana, Koustuv and Gargi, and Lakshmi and Subbu.

To my dear Athai and Athimber: I know you’re watching over all of us, along with Appa. I consider myself incredibly blessed to have had you both in my life. The memories we shared continue to bring me comfort and strength. Thank you for everything you gave us.
