“The cave you fear to enter holds the treasure you seek.” -Joseph Campbell
I stumbled across this quote recently and it really hit me.
For years, I didn’t do so many things because I was scared of what could go wrong. I played it safe, made the “smart” choices, didn’t take risks. I told myself I couldn’t afford to mess up.
But as time went on, I started to realize something: my fears were holding me back more than anything else. Something had to give.
So I started pushing myself harder. I learned how to deal with my fears and actually go after opportunities instead of letting them pass by. It’s been pretty life-changing, honestly.
Am I where I want to be yet? Nope. But I’m really glad I at least took that first step.
Here’s the thing: it’s a constant battle between staying comfortable and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone. But I’ve learned that action is what kills fear. You just gotta take it one step at a time.
So let’s do it—one step at a time.
