You know that person who’s been “thinking about quitting their job” for like… six months now? Every coffee chat, it’s the same story. They overthink every angle, vent about the same boss for the hundredth time, run through every what-if scenario, and somehow, the more they talk about it, the more stuck they actually feel.
And then there’s the other person. They mention they’re unhappy at work on Monday, and by Friday they’ve already updated their resume and sent out a couple applications. No big dramatic announcement. They just… did the thing.
Same problem. Completely different energy. One person’s basically feeding the problem every time they talk about it without doing anything. The other one’s starving it, just by taking one small action instead of another lap around the same worry.
