-Karthik Gurumurthy

Silence is golden, soft and deep,
A treasure wiser hearts will keep.
Better to pause, to breathe, to wait,
Than speak too soon and curse too late.
For words unleashed can not return,
They fall like sparks that others burn.
While silence holds its quiet power,
Unspent, unspoiled, hour by hour.
Restraint is not the weaker art—
It takes more strength to guard the heart,
To feel the storm and let it pass,
Unshattered, like unbroken glass.
So let me hold my tongue, and find
The peace that lives behind the mind—
For in the stillness, calm is born,
And silence wears no crown of thorn.
