Different stars, Same Sky

Two women, different as sun and moon,
Both holding light in their own way—
One taught him how to walk his first steps,
One chose to walk beside him each day.

Fourteen years of seasons turning,
Some warm with laughter, shared and free,
Some cold, where silence spoke the loudest,
Both still branches of one family tree.

Let the differences be honored,
Not smoothed away, not feared, not hid—
Two hearts don’t have to beat the same
To beat, together, for the same kid.

May there come a gentler season,
Where old wounds soften, understood,
Where mother and wife find common ground,
Not in sameness, but in shared good.

God, if You’re listening, make the bridge—
One built on all the love they share,
But one that lets both women shine,
Two different, but no less loving, stars.
