Missing in Nepal: Please Help Us Find Tejal and Jignesh

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and a request for help.

My dear friend from Sankara School, Tejal Merchant (many of you may know her as Tejal Talati), and her husband Jignesh have been missing since the flash flood hit the Bhote Koshi valley in Rasuwa, Nepal, on August 26th (yesterday). They were traveling with a tour group on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, and no one has been able to reach them since.

Their family and friends are working closely with the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu and the Nepalese authorities while search and identification efforts in the valley continue.

If you were on that route in late August, have contacts in the area, or know anything at all that might help, please send me a message. Even the smallest detail could make a difference, and we’d be so grateful for it.

We believe in miracles, and we’re holding on to hope that Tejal and Jignesh are somewhere safe right now. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers, and share this post so it reaches as many people as possible.
