As I pause to look back on this journey, my heart is full. Full of gratitude, full of wonder, full of quiet joy for how far I’ve come. Life has a way of unfolding in ways we never quite expect, and when I think of all the places I’ve been fortunate enough to explore alongside my family, I am reminded just how blessed I truly am.
Travel has taught me so much more than any map or guidebook ever could. There is something deeply humbling about setting foot in a new country for the first time: the unfamiliar streets, the different rhythms of life, the small moments of discovery that stay with you long after you’ve returned home. I’ve had the privilege of meeting people whose lives look nothing like mine, yet whose warmth and kindness speak a language all their own. Through them, I’ve come to understand that no matter where we come from, we are all connected by the same threads of hospitality, curiosity, and human connection.
I’ve walked through cultures rich in history and tradition, each one teaching me to see the world, and myself, a little differently. And even as a vegetarian, navigating unfamiliar cuisines in far off places, I’ve been surprised again and again by the creativity and generosity of local food, finding joy and flavor in the most unexpected corners of the world.
Looking back, I recognize that none of this was by chance. Every journey, every meeting, every experience feels like a quiet gift, a reminder of God’s grace and kindness walking beside me each step of the way. For all of it, the people, the places, the memories woven together with my family, I am endlessly, deeply thankful.
